ok im not tryna be high and mighty all, im actually quite tempted to buy the stuff there. the choice is endless cuz they've got sucha dazzling array! plus so cheap and look quuuuuiiiiiittteeee*forced* real la, the pirated stuff!

well its just that, if i buy smth unauthentic i just dont feel as good or confident. like if people ask, oh so where did yu buy that puma bag from? and instead of saying (the puma store at marina, i say bugis street. then EVERYONE WILL THINK IM A CHEAPSKATE! which i really am la, i dont deny.haha! but not when it comes to clothes and all.

anyway i got conned into buying $2.50 bubble tea that 1) has syrup tt doesnt dissolve = lumpy n coagulated 2) tastes pretty diluted 3) wth. bubble tea's not even popular already and yu sell for $2.50?!?knn daylight robbery ah! stupid pirated rip-off bubble tea.haha

but i bought it anyway. couldnt help it la, felt like i could do with a milk tea since there isnt a starbucks in bugis street. lol

headed to parco afterwards. don't yu think the kids here are so cuute!!?haha. i remember doing that with my classmates in my maha bodhi uniform.haha!the kid in the front looks like those african babies with bloated stomachs!

isnt it funny how in africa, the children there have bloated stomachs cuz of a lack in proteins and an excess of starch from cheap food, whilst in singapore the children suffer the same fate, except that they're just plain fat.hahaha!

these two kids are soooooooo adorable. i wanna kidnap them! hehehe.

later we passed a store selling superhero themed apparel and im currently quite infatuated with the superman trucker cap.

but i'd only don a cap when im too lazy to do up my hair, which is like never. afterall beauty cannot be compromised, no? :P

dear being narcissistic, but not v good at it. im a better cam-whore.haha!

there wasn't much at icons though, where out of 5 levels of shopping only 2 stores appealed to me. one selling vintage and old-school commodities, really novel items. and the second was a store selling authentic second hand high-end goods from brands like gucci, lv and the likes.

fancied items from both shops but my wallet was wearing thin. hm, so yeah, at least i've got namecards so when a taitai would hire me as toyboy then can i return to buy them (:

the only other thing that stood out was the rooftop cafe, which had a pretty cool concept cuz there yu are under the cloudy sky, and yu're sitting on bean bags drinking yur latte.

ah! look at that horrid pimple on my nose. booooo.... oh well, at least i dont do a xiaxue.haha.

but the drawback's that the bean bags look like thrash bags, so at first glance yu'd really think yu were looking at a rubbish dump instead.haha

looks like thrash bags right!hahaha. but the ambience is really quite nice, cosy and quiet. good for conversations/make-out sessions/cam-whoring.

it nonpareil still i think, other cafes are all the same design-wise.

we both thought the chapel gothic can, what with all the typical gothic architecture (read:rose windows, pointed arches, hollow spaces etc). its like the gothic abbey that recurs in the genre.haha.

its off to esplanade thereafter, where we met huiks and justin! (and leon+his gf on the way there) apparently while all the couples were watching fireworks at marina bay we were touring the whole bugis/cityarea.

ignore the annoying mat/minah sqwaks in the background, just enjoy the splendour of the fireworks! niice!

but nothing to lose, we're going to the national stadium this wednesday anyway, so can see the fireworks display anyway (:

ok anecdote time!

sometime last week dear and i stopped by rafflescity and we got ondeh ondeh (some peranakan kueh,my FAVE). dear, being the country bumpkin she is, had never tried it before, and when she took her first bite -yes bite! she didnt put the whole thing, which isnt all that big, into her mouth- the brown sugar filling all spilled out!

UNGLAM!!!

it was all over the floor, and on both our hands la!so after washing up, i asked dear to try another one. and being smarter this time, she put the whole greenfluff in her mouth. and when she chewed, with her mouth fully closed this time, the brown sugar filling STILL SQUIRTED OUT OF HER MOUTH! it was all over the floor, so we hurried away. and yu can imagine how badly my stomach hurt from all the laughing.

so everytime i think of merlion now, i just smile myself silly.haha! and this picture only made the visual pop back into my head :P
